Hunters Spinney is a substantial private home with three letting bedrooms. With breathtaking views over the Georgian City of Bath and across the hilltops beyond, the house is set back from the road in pretty gardens. Fabulous sunsets, occasional firework displays, and hot air balloons rising above the countryside and city can be seen from the house. Situated in one of Bath's best residential area where the countryside meets the City, the house is in a great location, easily reached from the M4 and M5 motorways and also from the A36 and A303 routes south. It is also within walking distance to the centre and on the open top bus route, and close to a regular bus service. There is private parking right outside the front door. The private guests' garden, with tables and chairs, backs onto an area designated as being of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is part of the Bath Skyline. Wildlife abounds, with sightings of rare woodland birds including buzzards, owls, woodpeckers as well as deer, badgers, squirrels, foxes and rabbits. The house was built of Bath stone in 1929 in a superb hillside location overlooking Bath, with westerly views along the Avon river valley towards Bristol and the Mendip hills. Near Bath Skyline and other good walks. It is a few minutes walk from the University of Bath main campus and the Bath Golf Club at Sham Castle and near the University bus route. Car parking is available away from the road, where guests are welcome to leave their car while visiting Bath - avoiding costly car park charges in town. All rooms have Wi-fi access to the Internet via broadband, which can be used by guests who bring notebook computers compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g. There are three non-smoking rooms available, two with ensuite bathrooms and one with a private bathroom. Two bedrooms have double beds and the third has a king sized double bed (or twin beds if required, at a £5 per night supplement). The dining room and South and West bedrooms at the front of the house overlook the city of Bath and beyond to Bristol, the Mendips and Wales. The cosy rear North bedroom overlooks our peaceful woodland garden which is for the use of guests. All bedrooms are peaceful and have very comfortable beds (a top priority!) and a sitting area with digital flat screen T.V with 20+ channels. We also provide coffee and tea making facilities, mineral water, hot water bottles for a “home comfort” touch, hairdryer, a local information file, books and magazines. |
